I’ve been tutoring professionally for six years, working with students from middle school through bachelor’s-level coursework. I specialize in academic tutoring, nursing prerequisite courses, SAT, ACT, and GED preparation, and organizational coaching.
Having ADHD myself, I know how difficult it can be to navigate a school system built around a one-size-fits-all approach. A student can be capable, curious, and willing to learn while still needing something different from what the classroom provides. I work to understand those needs and offer the individualized support the system too often leaves missing.
My work also extends beyond tutoring sessions. With years of experience working with schools across the country, I help parents communicate with their child’s school and district and seek the resources their child needs. My goal is to help students understand their coursework, feel supported, and develop strategies that work for them.
Tutoring By Barsen is a registered business with the City of Modesto, California. All tutoring is virtual, allowing me to work with students wherever they learn.
